The International Monetary
Fund said Friday it was confident Italy would keep to the path
of reform.
It is essential that Italy does not do a U-turn on structural
reforms, said the IMF Europe department chief, Poul Thomsen.
He said he was confident that the next government, too, will
continue along this path in a gradual way.
