Italian retail sales bounced back
from some difficult months in September, ISTAT said on Tuesday.
The national statistics agency said sales were up 0.9% with
respect to August.
It said sales increased 3.4% in value terms and 2.7% in
volume terms with the respect to September 2016 - the biggest
rise since March 2010.
The increase was driven by food sales (up 4.4% in value
terms) and sales at major retailers (up 5.6%).
