Through Pimco- and Fortress-controlled vehicles

(ANSA) - Rome, July 17 - Italy's biggest bank by assets UniCredit on Monday completed the sale of 17.7 billion euros in non-performing loans.
UniCredit, like many Italian banks, is getting NPLs off its books as it looks to consolidate its financial stability. The operation, named Fino, saw the securitization of the NPLs via vehicles mainly controlled by the Pimco and Fortress funds.
