The rise in steady job contracts
fell by 84% in the first half of 2016 over the same period last
year, pensions and social security agency INPS said Thursday.
The difference between new contracts signed and old ones
terminated was 74,052, compared to a difference of 468,186 in
the first half of last year. Premier Matteo Renzi has said his
landmark Jobs Act labour-market reform has helped spur job
growth.
