Intesa Sanpaolo bank on Tuesday
posted net income of 1.7 million euros in the first half this
year, compared to two billion euros in the same period last
year.
Net income amounted to 90% of the three billion euros in
cash dividends the company confirmed for the 2016 fiscal year,
as per its 2014-2017 plan, the company said.
Also in the period, the lender booked the sale of its
Setefi and Intesa Sanpaolo Card divisions for 895 million euros.
Intesa Sanpaolo said it has extended 24 billion euros in
medium and long-term loans to families and businesses over the
first six months of the year, up 24% from the same period in
2015.
