The Milan bourse added +0.03% after
a volatile trading session that saw the FTSE MIB benchmark index
close flat at 16,697 points.
The Agnelli family's Cnh Industrial jumped 7.7% after
announcing better than expected results, while investors
deserted Mediaset (-6.9%) after a deal with Vivendi went sour.
Banks were also weak ahead of European Central Bank (ECB)
stress test results, with MPS losing 1.23% and UniCredit
shedding 2.2%.
Mediobanca (-2.3%) and UBI (-0.65%) followed suit. Bucking
the trend were Intesa Sanpaolo (+0.4%)and BPM, which jumped
3.5%.
