ENEL CEO Farncesco Starace said
Thursday it would be "fantastic" if Telecom Italia were to join
in ENEL's plans to set up an 'ultra-broadband' network in Italy.
"We have been talking since the start, they are the first
operator we talked to. We are open to all solutions with all
operators," Starace said.
After the first five cities - Catania, Cagliari, Perugia,
Bari and Venice - another five will be hooked up in the autumn,
he said: Florence, Genoa, Naples, Palermo and Padua.
"We are talking to Metroweb, we are proposing a larger
Metroweb," Starace added.
