TIM (formerly known as Telecom
Italia) on Monday said it was doubling its landline rates from
10 to 20 cents a minute from April 1. The rates will be to other
landlines and to cellphones not covered by special offers, it
said. In January Telecom Italia presented a overhaul which will
see its brands converge under the name of the one hitherto
representing its mobile arm - TIM. The company also presented a
new logo with a T icon and the name written in white on a blue
background. The move seeks to reposition the group's entire
range and simplify the customer experience.
