Lower House and Senate whips from
the ruling Democratic Party (PD) on Tuesday reaffirmed their
confidence in the new management of State broadcaster RAI in the
face of criticism from the opposition. "RAI is going through,
thanks to the reform recently approved by parliament, a phase of
transition that must ensure efficiency, dynamism and
competitiveness to match the challenges of our time," said
Ettore Rosato and Luigi Zanda. "For this reason we reaffirm our
confidence in the management of the company that is running the
country's biggest cultural enterprise in a challenge that cannot
be improvised or resolved in the first few months of their
mandate".
