Squinzi said Monday that the quantitative easing programme of
the European Central Bank is "certainly one of the factors that
is helping our country move and latch onto the recovery...(but)
if we compare the volume of the ECB's QE with that implemented
by the Fed let's say we're in another dimension".
Squinzi also said that there had been "confusion" over a
row between CGIL union leader Susanna Camusso and Labour
Minister Giuliano Poletti over the latter's apparent suggestion
that working hours should no longer be the base for contract
renewal talks.
"It's a complex issue," he said about Poletti's idea, which
sparked the ire of Camusso and other union leaders.
