Anheuser-Busch InBev is
planning to sell SABMiller's Italian beermaker Peroni, as well
as Grolsh, to get an EU OK for the merger, the Wall Street
Journal said Monday. Last month British brewer SABMiller said it
had agreed "in principle" to a takeover by its bigger Belgian
rival Anheuser-Busch InBev, whose makes include Budweiser and
Beck's, for 68 billion pounds (104 billion dollars). If
completed, the merger will result in a company that will
produce one third of the beer consumed each day worldwide.
