Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA)
on Thursday reported a 14% increase in U.S. car sales in
September, marking its best September performance since 2000,
boosted mainly by strong sales of Jeeps.
FCA said it had shifted 193,019 units last month, up 14%
since the same period last year, representing its 66th
consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases.
U.S. sales of the Jeep brand rose 40%, marking the brand's
third best sales month of all-time.
Sales of the Ram Truck brand were up 4% while sales of the
Fiat brand were up 1%.
