Digital satellite television
platform Sky generated the most revenue in Italy in 2014,
communications regulator AGCOM said Tuesday.
Sky took 34.1% of the revenue share - up 1.4% over 2013 -
followed by ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi's private Mediaset
network at 27.8%, which overtook public broadcaster RAI at
27.2%. Discovery Channel accounted for 1.9% of total revenue and
the Cairo Group, which owns Italy's national La 7 channel, for
1.7%, AGCOM said.
