Abertis Telecom Terrestre has
agreed to purchase 7,377 mobile phone towers from the towers
subsidiary of Italian operator Wind Telecomunicazioni SpA, the
Spanish company said Monday.
Abertis will invest 693 million euros in a deal that will
give it a 90% stake in Wind's fully-owned subsidiary Galata,
which manages the towers.
Wind will hold the remaining 10%.
The transaction is expected to close by April 2015, Abertis
said.
Wind currently owns 13,000 mobile phone towers in Italy.
