The Italian housing market grew
during the third quarter of last year, recording a 13% increase
in mortgages and a rise of 3.7% in sales compared with the same
period in 2013, national statistical agency Istat said Thursday.
After weakness in the April-to-June period, the market began to
recover in the quarter between July and September, said Istat.
When measured over the nine months of last year, housing sales
rose by 0.4%, said Istat. During the third quarter, sales of
both homes and business premises, including shops, increased.
