Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA)
will add 1,500 new jobs at its factory in Melfi in southern
Italy over the next three months, the company said Monday. The
plant there will also see an injection of more than one billion
euros for the production of Jeep Renegades and the Fiat 500X
SUV, the company said. New staff are needed because of the "very
positive" sale performance of the two vehicles, FCA said. It
added some staff will be transferred in temporarily from other
plants.
