Alitalia's board on Wednesday
nominated former Ferrari chief Luca Cordero di Montezemolo to be
the new president of the Italian airline, ANSA sources said
Thursday. The board meeting also nominated as vice president
James Hogan, the CEO of UAE carrier Etihad, which this year
invested 560-million euros for a 49% stake in Alitalia. Alitalia
will hold shareholder meetings on November 20 and 26 to ratify
the nominations, the sources said.
