Italian prices started to go up again in October after two months of deflation, with an annual inflation rate of 0.1%, Istat said Friday. The annual inflation rate was -0.2% in September after Italy experienced deflation for the first time in decades in August with an inflation rate of -0.1%. The national statistics agency said prices in Italy were up 0.1% on September as well as being 0.1% higher than in October 2013.
