Italian business turnover should
recover by 2.1% this year but employment will remain negative,
with 1% fewer jobs in 2014, a Bank of Italy research survey
predicted Thursday.
Traditional manufacturing industries and the south of Italy
will be hit particularly hard by the timid recovery in business
orders and continuing decline in employment, according to the
central bank's survey of a sample of companies in the
manufacturing and service sectors.
