Swiss businessman Stephan
Schmidheiny was indicted Friday in the Eternit2 asbestos death
case.
He has been charged with voluntary manslaughter in the deaths
of 392 people who died after exposure to asbestos in a plant at
Casale Monferrato near Alessandria in Piedmont.
The trial will open in Novara on November 27.
Former Eternit CEO Schmidheiny is already on trial in Naples
on charges of voluntary manslaughter in the death of six
workers and two of their relatives of cancer due to exposure to
asbestos in the plant at Bagnoli in Naples.
