Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told a Rome press conference with Italian counterpart Enzo Moavero Milanesi Friday that "there are several countries including Italy consider the sanctions (on Moscow) an anomalous act and we are grateful for that".
He went on: "But it is not up to us to take the first step.
We must build our economy in this context of scant reliability on the part of our economic partners".
He said "we with several countries, not only with Italy, have chosen the form of projects even with sanctions".
