One man was killed and another
seriously injured in a shoot-out between persons on a motorbike
and others in a car on the outskirts of Bari on Monday.
The shoot-out started in Rione Carbonara and ended near the
San Nicola soccer stadium when the two vehicles crashed into
another car, police said.
The dead man was named as Walter Rafaschieri, 24, and the
seriously injured man as his brother Alessandro, 33.
They were on the motorbike.
Bari Mayor Antonio Decaro said police reinforcements promised
by Interior Minister Matteo Salvini were needed to stop gang
warfare that earlier this month saw an ambush on passersby in
which one person was seriously hurt.
