Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano told the United Nations Security Council on Thursday that foreign fighters could try to reach Europe via Libya following ISIS's defeats on the ground. "After the defeat of ISIS in Iraq and Syria, the foreign fighters could try to return to Libya and, from there, to Europe," Alfano said during a meeting of the Security Council, of which Italy holds the duty presidency. "Attention to the Libyan borders is an imperative for security, above all at the moment. "It is a job that must be shared by the main players of the international community".
