ISTAT said Wednesday that Italy
registered an average annual increase in productivity of 0.3% in
the period between 1995 and 2016, far lower than the EU average
of 1.6%.
It said growth rates similar to the EU average were
registered in Germany (1.5%), France (1.4%) and Britain (1.5%).
It said that, while Spain's average productivity growth was
well below the EU average at 0.5%, it was still higher than
Italy's.
