Italy now has 1.15 million
citizens of foreign origin and if current trends continue they
will be six million halfway through the century, some 10% of the
population, migration think tank IDOS said Friday.
In 2015 immigrants paid 10.9 billion euros to the Italian
social security system, of which they are only marginal users,
and around six billion euros in taxes.
