Maserati has chosen the
Los Angeles Auto Show for the debut of its new Quattroporte
GranSport in the North American market - the brand's most
important - less than two months after the model's international
debut at the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris.
The luxury car maker has introduced new high-tech
components to increase on-board comfort as well as improvements
to connectivity and driver assistance functions, accompanied by
an external and dashboard restyling and a new range strategy
that includes the GranLusso and the GranSport models.
"Southern California is a very important market for
Maserati in the US," said Tom Shanley, head of Maserati North
America.
"The Los Angeles Auto Show is the perfect occasion to show
our complete new product line," he said.
"From the GranCabrio, perfect for a long drive down the
Pacific Coast Highway, to the Quattroporte or the Ghibli which
are ideal models for a comfortable trip on Rodeo Drive, to the
Levante for an adventurous climb through the mountains, Maserati
now has a vehicle model for every North American client's need".
At the elegant Maserati stand inside the Los Angeles Auto
Show, next to two types of the new Quattroporte, there is also
the Ghibli Model Year 2017, the sports sedan that stays true to
the Maserati tradition of bringing together class,
high-performance and an exciting driving experience.
The Levante SUV has taken the lead in all markets,
including the US, and is attracting interest at the Los Angeles
Auto Show.
With the contribution of this new model, which has seen
record-breaking sales over the past two months in North America,
Maserati continues to grow in the SUV sector given Levante's
revolutionary capacity combining luxury and sportiness with
unparalleled off-road versatility.
The Maserati range on display in Los Angeles is rounded off
with the GranTurismo, the highest expression of a sports car
with its sophisticated 4.7 litre 460 PS V8 engine, available
with an automatic ZF gearbox six-speed transmission or
electrohydraulic transmission.
The engine range for the Ghibli sedan, the Quattroporte and
the Levante SUV includes a 3 litre V6 petrol or diesel engine,
combined with the intelligent Q4 All Wheel Drive system and the
ZF 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Quattroporte models are also available with a powerful
3.8 litre 530 PS V8 Twin-Turbo petrol engine, while the Ghibli
is available with a 410 PS V6 Twin-Turbo engine, (430 PS output
in the Levante), along with active air suspension and five
ride-height settings plus a low parking level setting.
