A Venice teacher who posted
racist and xenophobic statements on her Facebook profile is
already the subject of two Veneto disciplinary probes, the
education ministry said Friday. "The administration intervened
promptly in the case, and the Venice prosecutor's office has
also been informed", it said. The English teacher at a Venice
liceo, Fiorella Pontini, reportedly wrote that she wished all
migrants dead, as well as criticising local and national
politicians. Venice Assistant Prosecutor Adelchi d'Ippolito told
ANSA: "We are assessing whether there are elements of a criminal
nature on the basis of the facts".
