Napoli's form slump continued
on Wednesday when they lost 3-2 at home to Turkish side Besiktas
in the Champions League.
Maurizio Sarri's side paid the prize for an error strewn
performance, including a missed penalty by Lorenzo Insigne, to
suffer their third consecutive defeat after losing their last
two matches in Serie A.
Napoli remain top of Champions League Group B with six
points from three games, having won their first two matches in
Europe's premier club competition.
They are one point ahead of Besiktas of Istanbul, who
clinched their first win in the Champions League since 2009.
Vincent Aboubakar was the hero for the visitors, scoring
twice, including a late winner that should have been disallowed
for offside.
Dries Mertens and Manolo Gabbiadini scored for Napoli.
