The president of four 'good
banks' that were set up after small lenders Banca Marche, Banca
Etruria, CariChieti and CariFerrara went to the wall last year
has written to employees to say at least one of the institutes
is close to being sold. Roberto Nicastro wrote that he was
hopeful of signing "one or more agreements that guarantees the
sale and continuity as well as satisfying European regulations.
After 10 months of hard work, we think we are close to the long
awaited turning point".
