A funeral will be held Saturday in the basilica in the town of Ascoli Piceno for the Marche victims of Wednesday's devastating earthquake in central Italy.
President Sergio Mattarella, Premier Matteo Renzi, and Lower House Speaker Laura Boldrini will attend, officials said.
The group funeral was initially scheduled for this afternoon in a gym next to the Ascoli Piceno hospital morgue, where 45 bodies have been prepared, including those of several children.
Bishop Giovanni d'Ercole will officiate tomorrow.
