Italian police on Friday arrested
Giuseppe Pellicanò, a 51-year-old ad man under investigation for
the June 12 Milan apartment gas explosion that killed his former
partner Micaela Masella and a young couple from Marche. Police
are set to move Pellicanò from Niguarda hospital, where he was
set to be discharged, to Milan's San Vittore prison.
Investigators said Pellicano' was "angry" at the recent
separation from his ex. They said he purposely caused the gas
leak that led to the explosion, which left his ex-partner dead
and his daughters aged 11 and 7 with severe burns. Pellicano'
was among several people injured in the explosion.
