An Italian man has been
arrested for the murder of a Brazilian transsexual prostitute
and a Dominican woman friend of hers in central Florence
Wednesday.
Mirco Alessi, 42, confessed to murdering Gilberto Manoel Da
Silva, 45, after the prostitute allegedly threatened to reveal
they had a relationship, as well as Mariela Josefina Santos
Cruz, 27, from the Dominican Republic.
The double murder took place in Da Silva's flat near the
Santa Maria Novella square.
