Carabinieri police arrested three
suspects on Wednesday linked to investigations of a killing and
a separate missing person case on the island of Sardinia in
2015, ANSA sources said.
On May 8, 2015, 19-year-old Gianluca Monni from the town of
Orune was killed while waiting for a bus to school.
Stefano Masala, 28, went missing from the nearby town of
Nule the day before Monni's killing and was never found.
Police haven't revealed the names of the suspects, two of
whom are accused of double homicide: an 18-year-old from Nule
who was a minor at the time of the killing and disappearance,
and his 21-year-old cousin from the town of Ozieri.
The third person who was arrested is accused of illegal
weapons possession, police said.
