The pope will hold a Jubilee prayer vigil on May 5 to "dry the tears" of physical and spiritual sufferers, the Vatican said in a statement Tuesday. The prayer vigil to begin at 18:00 in St. Peter's Basilica "is intended as a visible sign of the merciful hand of the Father" being extended to comfort the bereaved, the ill, the jobless, the lonely, the existentially anguished, those who feel they have lost their way, and the victims of injustice.
