Eurostat said Thursday that Italy's deficit-to-GDP ratio for 2015 was 2.6%, a figure that is in line with the European Commission's February estimate. The EU's statistics office said Italy's public debt amounted to 2.171671 trillion euros, 132.7% of GDP, 0.1 of a percentage point lower that the EC's February estimates and in line with the Italian government's economic blueprint, the DEF.
