Mediobanca's net profit in the
second half of 2015 rose by 23% to 321 million euros over the
same period in 2014, the bank said Thursday.
The 93 million euros gains on disposals of equity stakes
worth €295m were absorbed almost entirely by non-recurring
charges, chiefly attributable to contributions to the Bank
Resolution Fund (63 million euros), Mediobanca said in a
statement.
Net interest income was up 10% to 604 million euros, the
statement added.
Fee income also rebounded in the fourth quarter, driven by
investment banking activity, the bank said
