Milan prosecutors have
investigated five Google executives for failing to declare
2009-2013 income and evading taxes of 227 million euros, sources
said Thursday.
Two of the suspects served as president of Google Italy.
Another two sat on the board of both the Italian affiliate and
the parent company, Google Ireland Ltd. The fifth sat on the
Irish company board as legal representative.
The five will be notified of the close of the investigation
against them in the coming weeks.
In Italy, such a notification is usually a prelude to an
indictment.
