Leaders Napoli and
second-placed Juventus both won at the weekend to set up a
table-topping clash at the Juventus Stadium next Saturday.
Napoli beat Carpi 1-0 thanks to a Gonzalo Higuain penalty,
his 24th goal in 24 games, to rise to 56 points, two ahead of
Juve who won 2-0 at Frosinone.
Napoli would open up a five-point gap if they win in Turin
while Juve, aiming for their fifth straight title, would
overtake their rivals by a point if they prevail.
Napoli have now won eight games straight, their best spell
since the glory days of Diego Maradona who brought them two
scudetti in the late '80s.
With the victory at Frosinone Juventus stretched their
winning run to 14 straight Serie A matches.
