Private-sector loans in September fell by 0.5% over the same month in 2014, the Bank of Italy said Tuesday. Loans to families rose by 0.4% year on year, while those to non-financial businesses dropped by 0.9%, the central bank said.
The Bank of Italy said recently that private-sector loans would return to growth in the first half of 2016.
