Istat said Wednesday that
Italy's annual inflation rate in September was 0.2%, lower than
that the 0.3% given in its preliminary estimate. The national
statistics agency added that its consumer price index dropped
0.4% in September with respect to August, compared to a fall of
0.3% given in the flash estimate. It said that its trolley index
of every day goods, such as food and household items, rose by
0.6% in September with respect to August and by 1.2% compared to
the same time last year.
