Unemployment among people aged
15-34 stood at 23.9% in the second quarter of 2015, national
statistics agency Istat said Tuesday.
The rate showed an increase of 0.5% over the same period
last year, Istat added.
Unemployment among under 35s was nearly four times higher
than among the over 50s, figures showed.
Some 6.1% of people aged 50-64 were out of work in the
second quarter of the year, up 0.2% over the the same period in
2014.
