Firms can't make their staff
work on holidays in the middle of the week or fine them if they
refuse, Italy's top court has ruled.
The Cassation Court, whose sentences set precedents, ruled
in favour of a Loro Piana worker near Vercelli who was fined for
refusing to work on the Epiphany holiday in 2004.
It ordered the luxury goods giant to pay her the money
back.
