A European Commission
spokesperson said Thursday that no evaluations had yet been made
on whether member States' spending on migrants and refugees
could enable them to benefit from the flexibility clause in the
European budget rules. "The Stability Pact is applied to all
States in a coherent way, taking into consideration all the
relevant factors," the spokesperson said. "Light will be shed on
specific circumstances at the appropriate time. Let's not
speculate for now".
