Italy coach Antonio Conte is
banking on free-scoring Sampdoria striker Eder to help the
Azzurri into Euro 2016 against Malta and Bulgaria.
"If we can win both these games we'll have a foot and a
half in the championships," the former Juve coach said.
Conte noted that Eder had already scored four goals for
Samp this season.
He is expected to form an attacking partnership with
Southampton's Graziano Pellé, who Conte said had already
"impressed" in the Premier League.
Italy play Malta Thursday before meeting Bulgaria next
week.
