Premier Matteo Renzi said Tuesday Expo Milan is a big international success thanks in part to prosecutors, who help crack down on graft that threatened to stifle the universal exposition at birth. "Expo wouldn't have happened but it did thanks to (anti corruption czar Raffaele) Cantone and (Expo Commissar Giuseppe) Sala and exceptional institutional work, thanks to the Milan Prosecutor's office for having managed the affair with institutional sensitivity," Renzi told journalists during a visit to Japan.
Renzi listed the prime ministers who have visited Expo, saying it has been a "big success".
