The number of fatalities of a July
24 fireworks factory explosion rose to 10 on Wednesday. Vincenzo
Bruscella, one of the factory's three owners, died earlier in
the day in a Naples hospital after suffering burns to 85% of his
body. The 43-year-old co-owner of the Bruscella plant in Modugno
near Bari, Michele Bruscella, succumbed to serious burns from
the explosion and died in intensive care on Sunday. The third
person seriously injured was Vincenzo Armenise, brother-in-law
of Michele Bruscella. Other workers suffered minor injuries.
