Tunisian police and demonstrators
lashed at Kalaa Kebira near the coastal resort city of Sousse
after authorities closed an unauthorised mosque, police said
Friday.
The clashes late Thursday evening erupted when a crowd of
worshippers hurled rocks at police who responded by firing tear
gas at the throng, according to local media reports. A gunman
murdered 38 foreign tourists in Sousse a week ago before being
killed by security forces.
