Salvatore Buzzi, the jailed kingpin of several cooperatives who is at the centre of the so-called Mafia Capitale probe into allegations a mafia organisation muscled in on lucrative city of Rome contracts, has proposed a plea bargain of three years six months, ANSA sources said Tuesday. Rome prosecutors are expected to give a negative opinion of the request that Buzzi's lawyers have presented to a preliminary investigations judge. Buzzi is accused of mafia-type criminal association and corruption, among other offences.
