Luxury eyewear maker Luxottica
gifted nine million euros worth of shares to employees on
Tuesday.
In celebration of Luxottica chairman and founder Leonardo
Del Vecchio's 80th birthday, the eyewear magnate gave
approximately 140,000 shares of Luxottica stock to his Italian
employees.
"A big, heartfelt thank you to the Italian employees of the
group, the real makers of our company's success", Del Vecchio
said in a statement.
