The eight foreign drug
traffickers executed by firing squad in Indonesia refused
blindfolds and sang lines of Christian hymns together as they
were shot and killed, the Melbourne Age newspaper reported
Wednesday, quoting Christian pastors who witnessed the
executions.
"They all looked straight ahead, as if they had accepted
their destiny," said Father Charles Burrows, who offered
spiritual assistance to Brazilian Rodrigo Gularte.
According to witnesses, all the prisoners died from a
bullet to the heart, fired by squads made up of 10 men.
